Kattegattleden

See and do Kungsbacka Experience Kattegattleden – a 390-km-long cycle path along the coast from Helsingborg in Skåne, through Halland, to Gothenburg.

Hiking paths in Äskhult

Fjärås The scenic agrarian landscape around Äskhult is perfect for walks and hikes. There are four marked trails in the area, varying in length and difficulty.

The nature reserve at Fjärås Bräcka

Sightings Fjärås Fjärås Bräcka is a geological formation that was left behind after the last ice age that lies across the Lygnern valley and dams the Lygnern lake at 15 meters above sea level. From the crest of the drift you can see far across lake Lygnern, the Fjärås basin and the Kungsbacka fjord.

Nidingens Lighthouse

Sightings Onsala Nidingen was Swedens first lighthouse and was probably the worlld's first double lighthouse. In 1624 the first fire lighted lighthouse was lit on the island. In 1832 two lighthouses wese built and in 1945 they were replaced by an automatc lighthouse.

Näsbokrok Nature reserve

Sightings Åsa On the peninsula Ölmanäshalvön's south western tip is Näsbokrok nature reserve. It has the typical coastal landscape which is so common in Halland with heather meadows, flat rocks and rubble-stone fields.

Gäddevik nature reserve

Sightings Fjärås Here Lake Lygnern´s shores are lined with thickly foliaged deciduous trees. Oaks and beech trees predominate and the flora of the damp alder marshes is extremely rich.
